There was a fantastic turnout for the Fair Funding for Public Services Rally in Liverpool on Saturday 15th March, as thousands of people gathered at Pier Head to march through the city centre.
The rally finished at the plaza outside St Georges Hall, where trade union leaders addressed the crowd. Heather Wakefield from Unison closed the rally by saying
“We are fighting for the life blood of all that is decent and good in our public services and our communities”
The North West of England has taken more than its share of the burden.
Public services make our society better for everybody.
